Roof Curb Systems’ Manufacturing and Design Process
Assures Product Quality

Our products are manufactured using state-of-the-art equipment and modern manufacturing processes, resulting in a precision product that has fewer welds and higher product quality compared to products made with conventional manufacturing processes.

Here are the major steps of our production process:

1) Orders are entered directly from the detail forms and programmed into the plasma cutting machines which will cut the raw curb material to shape. At the same time, the job is entered into the production schedule.
2) Once the order is released for production, the material is precision cut on plasma machines. Hand shearing and notching, and the errors and imperfections that go with it, are eliminated. The result is a precision metal roof curb with fewer than 50% of the welds found on conventional roof curbs.
3) After material is formed on the press brake, welds are pretreated with anti-splatter. Anti-splatter is a compound that prevents weld arcs from burning the metal’s protective coating. All welds and surfaces are cleaned.
4) After the all welds are cleaned, they are treated with Microseal, a compound which permeates the weld and seals it. This process assures a pressure tight seal and inhibits rust.
5) After all the welds have been sealed, they are primed with a zinc-rich primer.

Roof Curb Systems’ Uni-Cricket
Metal Roof Curb Design

Our Uni-Cricket roof curb design has less exposed surface welds than other conventional metal building roof curb designs. Less welds equal less potential problems. With the new twenty year roof warranty programs being offered by some manufacturers, the Uni-Cricket Metal Roof Curb design’s features make it a superior product over its competitors.
