How TRAC Rail™ Roof Penetration Systems Solve Problems

Roof penetrations are a small but critical part of any roof system. As the pre-engineered building systems industry continues to gain market share each year, building designs are incorporating more roof top equipment, while roof warranties are becoming more stringent. This combination of events can make the “Fab-in-Field” approach to roof penetrations costly if not obsolete.

The TRAC Rail Roof Penetration System has been developed to address several roof penetration concerns. The design of this system reduces leaks, field labor, and makes roof curb framing installations safer and faster than most conventional methods requiring field assembly. It is completely prefabricated to match the building’s roof framing and roof panel details for each opening.

TRAC Rail Design Features Provide New Benefits

• TRAC Rail is pre-assembled and pre-centered to allow for a full 1-1/4” thermal movement in both directions.
• TRAC Rail’s pre-assembly allows for thermal movement and resists negative pressure.
• TRAC Rail ships to the job to match the elevation of the roof plane, 3/8”, 1”, or 1-3/8” for thermal blocks
• TRAC Rail works with purlins or bar joists.
• TRAC Rail installs up to 7 times faster than the standard bolting Cees to Zees method.
